Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms apply to every booking with Giggle Factory for balloon décor, event styling, party-equipment hire and catering, and to your use of this website. By paying a deposit you accept them.
Quotes
- Every booking starts with a written quote. It lists what's included, the price, any travel or delivery charge, and the date it's valid until.
- Prices on a quote can change until your deposit is paid. After that, the price is fixed for what the quote describes.
- Changes you ask for after booking, such as more guests, extra items or a different venue, may change the price. We'll confirm any change in writing first.
- Giggle Factory is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added.
Booking and payment
- Your date is reserved only once the 50% deposit shown on your quote has been paid. Until then we may accept another booking for the same date.
- The balance is due before your event, by the date shown on your invoice. If it hasn't been paid by then, we may cancel the booking under our Refund Policy.
- Payment is by EFT to the bank account on your invoice. Please use your quote or invoice number as the reference.
Cancellations and changes
How cancellations, date changes and refunds work is set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
On the day
- Access. Please make sure we can get into the venue at the agreed setup time, and that we have a safe place to work. If we can't get in, or have to wait, we may not be able to complete the full setup, and extra waiting time may be charged.
- Power and space. Tell us beforehand if the setup needs a plug point, or if the space has restrictions on fixings, height or noise.
- Outdoor events. Wind, rain, heat and direct sun affect balloons. We'll advise you, but we're not responsible for weather damage to balloons outdoors, and we may adjust or delay outdoor setups for safety.
- Colours and finishes. We match colours as closely as possible. Balloons and materials can vary slightly between batches, and photos and screens can show colours differently.
Hired items
- Hired equipment and décor remain the property of Giggle Factory.
- You're responsible for hired items from when we deliver them until we collect them. Please don't move, take down or pack away installations yourself.
- Items that are lost, or damaged beyond normal wear, will be charged at repair or replacement cost. We'll show you what's affected and the cost before charging.
Catering
- Catering packages start at 20 guests. Please confirm final numbers and any allergies or dietary needs when you accept the quote.
- Our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens, including nuts, gluten, dairy and eggs. We take care, but can't guarantee an allergen-free meal.
Safety
Uninflated or burst balloons are a choking hazard for children under eight and for pets. Please supervise children around balloons and dispose of any pieces straight away. We never release balloons.
Our responsibility
We'll carry out your booking with reasonable care and skill. If something isn't right on the day, tell us straight away so we can fix it while we're there. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008. Beyond those rights, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Photographs
We may photograph our setups for our gallery and social media, as described in our Privacy Notice. Tell us when you book if you'd prefer we didn't.
